From a little Studio in Milford on Sea...<\/strong><\/h2>

My love\/obsession with my Classic Hymer motorhome sparked a new idea - and duff-t Tees was born.<\/strong><\/p>

Through the first lock down, we saw nature return. Seals to local beaches and what appeared to be bluer skies and better weather. Never before had we seen so few planes! For me, it felt like the planet was healing.<\/p>

It inspired me to ask more questions, to look at things in more detail and stop buying from places that mass produced things - especially clothes. As a graphic designer - I already had ideas about designs, and a love of expressing my thoughts, so when I discovered Teemill, only a stones throw away from my home, I was in heaven.<\/p>

And so it began, my first designs were the Hymer range - Skint<\/a>, being the first, and anyone who owns one will know, you are always tweaking! As a Hymer owner (Hattie) I love this van and anything to do with the van, so creatively I always want to express this love! This was quickly followed by the 'can you hear the sea'<\/a> Tee - one I really love too. This is printed on recycled, sustainable cotton. So cool!<\/p>

It is important to know the journey behind your clothing. How is it made, who is involved, what is the process?<\/p>

We all have a responsibility to find out if the planet has suffered. I remember seeing a documentary by Stacey Dooley regarding cotton production<\/a>, well worth a watch. Entire seas being lost due to cotton production. The fields that grow the organic cotton for our products are in the North of India, where the monsoons fill reservoirs that supply almost all the water needed. And, organic cotton is better for the producers and the ecosystem in which it is produced. Instead of more toxic pesticides and fertilisers, co planting and insect traps are used along with the special ingredient - cow poo. It encourages biodiversity and leads to the extra soft feel of our products.<\/p>
